I Wish I Could by Emily
I wish that I could step into books.
I’d experience new places.
I’d rent a book and step inside.
I’d see many new faces.
I would fly up, up with Peter Pan,
And scare the biggest boogie man.
I’d fight monsters and go to the moon.
Then I would have lunch with a queen at noon.
And when my day of books was done,
I’d dream of all the adventure and fun.
